POLITICAL ECONOMY

GCE GLOBAL:
Hi Sebastián, we are very pleased to have such a studied guest. Welcome to today’s discussion.

SEBASTIÁN NARVÁEZ:
Hello, thank you very much for having me and I am honored to be with GCE Global today and to be able to connect with your great audience.

GCE GLOBAL:
Tell us a little more in-depth about Latino Agendas

SEBASTIÁN NARVÁEZ:
Latino agendas in a project from my postgraduate yearsandthe Latin American approach is the analysis of Latin American politics since in my point of view it has a more volatile dynamic and a diversity of political parties that causes that interest that I am passionate about. Agenda Latina is a space for meeting and opinion.

GCE GLOBAL:
Tell us a little abouthowthese pandemic times affected oil?

SEBASTIÁN NARVÁEZ:
In these times, the pandemic has generated that in the oil field there have been drops in oil consumption since there are 30,000 barrels of oil less than what was spent prior to the pandemic with this drop the suppliers have seen forced to lower the price of a barrel so much that it can cost -$30 per barrel a crisis that has made them pay their clients to take the barrels of oil. (More information in the video.)

GCE GLOBAL:
As for Latin America, doyou see it possible that in a decade Latin America can recover from this crisis?

SEBASTIÁN NARVÁEZ:
To answer you, I want to be optimistic about getting out of this crisis, we have already gone through crises before, that as a point of reference, the ability of countries to recover after each crisis, now in order to get out of the crisis you have to get into debt, but due to that we have to focus on the ratio of public debt gross domestic product looking at this we can see which countries perhaps have the best economic position to be able to go back into debt to recover we are talking about Chile with around 55%, Colombia with around 52% , Panama with around 57%, so these are economies that have room to borrow now, this debt needs political support to be able to occur. (More information in the video.)

GCE GLOBAL:
What could be the new market that will boost Latin America?

SEBASTIÁN NARVÁEZ:
In my point of view, and I reiterate, a potential market could be renewable energy, and another process in which we can invest in technology such as artificial intelligence. In short, we have water resources, artificial intelligence, and finally we have to continue in The growth of the agricultural industry is being strong, especially in tropical countries, so we can get ahead and reinvent ourselves.

GCE GLOBAL:
In this question I want to know about the dependence on raw materials in Latin America. What would happen if the boom turned into a new bust?

SEBASTIÁN NARVÁEZ:
The risk of that boom being a bust is always there. In fact, too many factors come into play. I can be the IMF or the BIT and lend any amount of money, but if the necessary adjustments are not made in terms of economic policies, we are going to return. to fall and this goes hand in hand with the social aspect and if we continue with the same policies without seeing reinvention and if we continue to be flooded with corruption this will not work, reinvention may work but this reinvention is always closely linked to the political sphere and culture.

GCE GLOBAL:
Well, tell us about electronic money

SEBASTIÁN NARVÁEZ:
It is an innovative issue, it is an issue that has been trying to get rid of physical money for 60 years and in these times an immense opportunity opens up for electronic money. now there are two types of economies, the formal economy and the informal economy, now this informal economy is where cash moves and when you analyze the Latin American economies there are certain significant percentages of the informal economy, so as not to expand, they are street vendors.

GCE GLOBAL:
How to control volatile cash flows?

SEBASTIÁN NARVÁEZ:
For example, the cash flow of Latam and Avianca holdings, what could be done is I am going to modify the interest boxes so that you can pay me what you owe me at a lower rate over an extended period, but as we already know that The banking system does not lose, the banks return to charge each transaction or banking process to cover any loss at the point of commissions.

GCE GLOBAL:
Tell us a little about corporate policy before and after covid.

SEBASTIÁN NARVÁEZ:
Leaving spaces between the people who are in the aisle and the person at the window means less space equals more losses, which means that the policy of carrying full passenger capacity is bound to change thanks to the pandemic and distancing. (More examples in the video.)

GCE GLOBAL:
On the table to the less favored!.

SEBASTIÁN NARVÁEZ:
This topic was already mentioned when I exemplified the informal economy and corporate policies, mentioning informal workers, the IMF said that more than 30 million poor people will be affected by this situation.

GCE GLOBAL:
Is it time to build new planes or eliminate the corridors of the center?

SEBASTIÁN NARVÁEZ:
It is necessary to reinvent this being a challenge for the large aviation and aircraft design companies, a challenge for Roger, Airbus, etc. This is the end of various aircraft models that you have to reinvent, not only eliminating this corridor in the middle As I mentioned before with this space oil crisis to stop creating airplanes powered by hydrocarbons so that it can be replaced by a new kind of energy that is self-sustaining, now there are several models planned that it is not known how long it will take to be able to Being used commercially these models are powered by solar energy, now I am not the one to know how the process should be and if it is a good idea to remove the central aisle of the seats of an airplane.

GCE GLOBAL:
What do you think about the possibility of a new world government?

SEBASTIÁN NARVÁEZ:
I cannot assure you, but the possibility of a world government, but the world powers have been taking more conservative measures, but it is also a natural balance of society and governments, previously, not so many years ago, homosexuality was appalling. now in economies and democracies it becomes completely acceptable this generates a cycle of freedom making society ace liberal, but to what extent in this cycle does that freedom become licentiousness. (More information in the video.)
