SOCIAL RESPONSABILITY

GCE GLOBAL:
Good morning, it’s a pleasure to have Edwin Danilo Sonza Useche with us. Edwin, how are you

EDWIN DANILO SONZA:
Thank you for the invitation to this weebinar, for me these spaces are important to be able to share a message of solidarity, empathy and help.

GCE GLOBAL:
How does social responsibility impact us in this time of COVID-19?

EDWIN DANILO SONZA:
Well, this pandemic takes us by surprise, I think that no country was prepared for this to happen.
However, we all come together to mitigate the damage that it brings with it. Each one of us assumes a responsibility to be able to help and show solidarity with the other. It is an individual or collective act in which each of the parties assumes a responsibility in favor of a common good.

GCE GLOBAL:
How to make a social responsibility movement or policy as a company?

EDWIN DANILO SONZA:
Good, the governments have launched programs and actions that allow to mitigate the crisis, the large surfaces are helping through their projects and not only for individuals, but also in search of saving those small and medium-sized companies that are closing. So, for the good communication, Governments and Large Companies want to guarantee employment to their collaborators, using aid and support from specialized areas.
A strong crisis that looks different due to the lack of food and essentials, is the use of the internet or the lack of computers at home where there are 5 children and only one computer, so devices are also being provided so that they have access to the education that today It is given virtually.

GCE GLOBAL:
How can people help?

EDWIN DANILO SONZA:
There are different ways, we have so many groups in vulnerable conditions, from children to adults over 60 years of age, we can mitigate whether the pandemic is a suffering or a tragedy.
We can help by putting on our mask to protect others and with that we are already covering biosecurity. Those who have human resources, well donate, those who have knowledge can donate it, so we can all always give something. We assume a responsibility and in this way we can donate.

GCE GLOBAL:
How do people start leading support groups like you do with ?

EDWIN DANILO SONZA:
All before a motivation, and unite, but always keeping in mind that we are going to take care of ourselves first, to be able to care for and help them effectively.
Using social networks, instagram takes center stage, they are tools that helped us as a source of convocation, leading us to unite with people even from other countries, for example Korea. People can use their
social networks that serve as advertising.
A poster with the simple question: Do you want to help with donations? And it’s incredible but we are in a world where everyone wants to collaborate.
Everything on the Net works!.

GCE GLOBAL:
What is better to give or receive?

EDWIN DANILO SONZA:
Gestures days I have experienced more strongly, that it is better to “give than receive” the satisfaction that is felt is indescribable.
I am part of a group called the school of thought, where we are doing constructive education workshops, where we are all learning that it is better to be taught to fish than to receive the fish.

GCE GLOBAL:
A way to help can also be to take into account the Environment?

EDWIN DANILO SONZA:
Thank you Ugh!! I love it, now we are doing the Garbage Challenge, where we have been able to recycle in a positive way and that will really do good for our planet.

GCE GLOBAL:
Okay.

EDWIN DANILO SONZA:
This gesture has created an impact on a social level, and it is making us very human. I think that we come out of this pandemic differently, aware of each other and more concerned about the environment.

GCE GLOBAL:
A strategy to ask for help from who needs it?

EDWIN DANILO SONZA:
In many countries we have used the red scarf on the window or door of your house, which is an alert call.

GCE GLOBAL:
From networks or audiovisual media , how can you collaborate?

EDWIN DANILO SONZA:
In audiovisual media, everything can be sold, everything is done through the screens.
Who knows about the digital issue is at its peak, since they can design innovative strategies to get the message of humanity and solidarity to others.
I have to recognize the work of the people who work with the media today, and for me today the networks shine.

GCE GLOBAL:
How to align social responsibility with the geopolitical issue?

EDWIN DANILO SONZA:
It is complex and it is an issue that must be dealt with in a very objective way, but all human beings have a heart, but often we lack empathy. But this pandemic is teaching us to be more human since it has not selected nor excluded anyone to involve it and suffer, so the governments of the world have had to attend closely to social reality, transforming it, one or the other has been apathetic. but in general I like the political scenario that I am seeing.

GCE GLOBAL:
If there are organizations outside the government, how to work with them

EDWIN DANILO SONZA:
It is very important to talk about grassroots organizations, where there are those leaders who have experienced the situations for which they are working. So I think that big companies or big governments should articulate so that they do a truly successful job.

GCE GLOBAL:
Is there any Social Responsibility Objective?

EDWIN DANILO SONZA:
Of course, there is one that is global and that we must all carry intrinsically and it is to mitigate the spread of the pandemic, how do we do it? following protocols such as social distancing.
Readjust the ways of working and put concepts such as sustainability and sustainability at the forefront.
Keep in mind that while some smooth out, others worry about those who are fragile and this situation can cause more damage, and that in a certain way in the future it will have negative repercussions if we do not take action on time.

GCE GLOBAL:
A message.

EDWIN DANILO SONZA:
I want us to reflect and it is that while some must comply with the isolation regulations, others must continue with their usual tasks and jobs, so by respecting the other we are being responsible, by putting ourselves in their league, and giving our best version on a human level, we are cooperating so that it passes soon and has no collateral damage.

I want to congratulate the civil society that have come together in the form of collectives, due to similar characteristics or areas of work that are echoing with their actions of solidarity and collaboration, it is really good to know that today there are those who are risking their lives to bring help to others.
