DEVELOP YOUR ATTITUDE IN TIMES OF CRISIS

GCE GLOBAL:
Good morning, it is a pleasure to have Daniel Rodriguez Buitrago, better known on social networks as: DANIRODICE , with us. today talking about attitude?

DANIEL RODRIGUEZ BUITRAGO:
Thank you for the invitation to this weebinar, for me these spaces are important to be able to carry a message of positivity, because everything you want can be achieved. The only guarantee that we have that tomorrow will be a great day is what you are doing today.
At this moment in which we all wanted to telework, but it came and it was chaos because we were not prepared for this. So we have to have the right attitude and mentality to take advantage of this moment, which can bring something very favorable. But the least I am going to talk about is COVID or the quarantine, if not about how to take advantage of what we are experiencing, because we cannot come out differently from this.

GCE GLOBAL:
Daniel , the first thing we want is to ask you to tell us a one of those “parable stories ” that only you know how to tell to build.

DANIEL RODRIGUEZ BUITRAGO:
There is a story that I love…
In one of the regions of Pakistan more than 10 years ago, the terrorist regime of the Taliban arrived, which came to implement its force, with rules such as – “no woman could be on the street without a man” “curfew from at 9:00 pm” and others that forced things to change. This triggered a series of situations that today are tragic and others are good, one is that they eliminated the possibility for the female gender to have access to education. From this, a girl said: – How dare the Taliban take away my right to education? -And at that moment this girl, with the help of her father who was a teacher; she began to study, obviously the Taliban did not take it well, for this reason a few years later they shot her three times in her face, however they did not manage to kill her, she is transferred to a hospital in England. They warned that if she came out of this impact alive, they would kill her entire family. But she gained more strength and wrote a book “I,m Malala”, an autobiography that I love, she won the Nobel Peace Prize for defending the fight to recognize the right to Education for the female gender… Apart from what the book says… Malala confronts a Taliban on a bus she was on. This man asks: Who is Malala? She replies: I am Malala, the incredible thing about this story is that, being a 14-year-old girl, she takes responsibility, stands up for her cause. She does NOT blame anyone for what she was experiencing at that moment, but rather she took responsibility and took responsibility for what was happening to her and many women… Today Malala studies at Oxford England, Courage, bravery, attitude and take action.
In addition to this bad, the good came out, because the fact that she was shot 3 times made her viral, popular, since this act appeared in the news, newspapers, all media and she took advantage today to help her.

GCE GLOBAL:
Wow, how interesting, what should be a person’s attitude, guilt or responsibility?

DANIEL RODRIGUEZ BUITRAGO:
Uff asks that I love it, because here I come with the story of William James,”father of modern psychology” who was born with heart and physical problems, however in a “golden cradle” son of rich parents… Despite the fact that he was born with all financial comfort, his parents and siblings hated him because due to his special health needs, he was a burden on his family. His two brothers were famous and recognized, one a writer and the other a renowned scientist, for whom apart from suffering from his health condition, he had social pressure that caused him mental discomfort…
Due to this burden that seemed unbearable, William James wanted to commit suicide, but miraculously found some documents from some conferences given in the past, and in them one with a phrase that said “When a man takes responsibility for everything that happens to him, his life changes”, he affirmed from that moment on that everything in his life that happened, no matter how bad it might be, he will assume without blaming another. Opportunity that saves his life and allows him to contribute through books that we know today in more than 100 languages, helping many with his message.
Guilt VS Responsibility: we are not to blame for what happens to us (William James is not to blame for being born with physical problems and health condition), taking responsibility is different (William James concludes that only he should assume what is passes)
A correct attitude.

GCE GLOBAL:
Is there a difference between the responsibility of an adult man and that of a child?

DANIEL RODRIGUEZ BUITRAGO:
Of course, we must be aware because sometimes we forget. You have to learn and understand the difference between a 50-year-old person and a 5-year-old child,
the older man is independent, mature, with a life path, the child, on the other hand, is dependent, if the child drops a glass of water and he breaks down, he cries, and he doesn’t know that he should pick him up and clean up the mess he made, he worries. The man instead picks it up and cleans it.
So, when we understand that the only way for life to treat us fairly is to hold myself accountable, they are not someone else’s fault but my responsibility.

GCE GLOBAL:
A book that you recommend?

DANIEL RODRIGUEZ BUITRAGO:
There is a very good book, the title may sound strong, but in reality this reading generates changes, it is called “The subtle art of not giving a damn” Mark Manson.

GCE GLOBAL:
How to exercise our influence?

DANIEL RODRIGUEZ BUITRAGO:
Whenever you ask yourself that, I also want you to think about what people you want to attract into your life? … People with leadership, staff who are correct, People who are positive, happy people, people who know technology. Then ask yourself from 1 to 10 how many of those characteristics you have. Because you don’t attract what you want, you attract what you have.
If you are a negative person, you will only attract people who are equally pessimistic or worse than you.
Prosperous, great, positive people are bigger than their problems.

GCE GLOBAL:
What do you think of the attitude of some young people who today suddenly have all the possibilities but have. bad attitude

DANIEL RODRIGUEZ BUITRAGO:
If you are a father, the first thing you have to change is you…
Young people today want to change the world and leave home for 10 years, for example, and travel the world with the idea of making a revolution for change, then they return to their country and realize that it is not easy, so they say That if I change my country, time goes by and nothing, then they return home, their family does not change either, in the end when they reflect on their own they realize that the one who should change was him, when we are adults we understand it very well.
First I am inspired, because the world is going to be inspired too and there is going to be a change.
So I would leave the young people because there is nothing better than crashing and then appreciate what you have. Hitting bottom you appreciate life, family, partner, everything you have.
“Change yourself so much… That you inspire others to change.”

GCE GLOBAL:
People today live with anxiety and depression, what do you think

DANIEL RODRIGUEZ BUITRAGO:
Yes, people today live many things that are not good because they carry things from the past, even family chains that they do not want to let go of.
People are getting used to living in messy, depressing, decadent environments, so it’s their own decision to get out of there.
Cleaning social networks is also super important.

GCE GLOBAL:
Daniel, thank you very much for joining us today, we have learned great things and we have been personally enriched.

DANIEL RODRIGUEZ BUITRAGO:
Yes, of course, and I’m looking forward to seeing me and connecting to these spaces and we grow together.
